EXERCISES
Bezier Games (Exercise 1)
I learned how to properly use the pen tool from bezier.method.ac which is quite challenging at first due to the interface not being as flexible and smooth as photoshop or illustrator. This game made me practice and improve my skill on using the pen tool which will prepare me for the following assessments.

3 Favourite Graphic Design Work from Pinterest
I have some experience on using pinterest which made me familiar on the types of artwork that is portrayed in that platform
Artwork 1
Fig 1.2: artwork 1 (25/8/21)
The play with typography hierarchy and composition of space to create a
silhouette successfully attracted my attention. Beautiful work by Jiří Kolář,
a literally and visual artist from Czech.
Artwork 2
Fig 1.3: artwork 3 (25/8/21)
A play of design, breaking the limits of “rules” that creates a very
pleasing abstract work of art.
Artwork 3
Fig 1.4: artwork 3 (25/8/21)
A mix of minimalistic artwork with a hint of urban design. The imagery of abstract art and its color appeals more to their intended audience.

Photoshop (Exercise 3)
Fig 3.1: adjustment layer practice (13/9/21)
I actually used the adjustment layer and filters to create this
nondestructive invert effect for the “eight winning” text on the top
portion of the collage, then used a clipping mask to not apply to my other
layers. This is followed by the square in the middle, same exact steps but
with added blend mode in overlay, and lastly the fish is also obtained
using adjustment layer clipped onto that layer to get the invert effect
just on the fish.
Fig 3.2: pen tool practice (13/9/21)
I learned how to use the pen tool properly to either create mask,
selection or shape. I made a selection using the pen tool to obtain the
text from the typewriter.
Project 2: Photoshop (Exercise 4)
Shazam exercise
Fig 4.1: masking shazam (20/9/21)
Fig 4.2: color correcting shazam to new bg (20/9/21)
Fig 4.3: reflection done (20/9/21)
Final step is to add the reflection. I copied shazam then rotate it while
masking its legs to show a realistic reflection just from the reflective
tile. After adjusting the color, i distorted shazam slightly to get the
reflection look using the ripple effect, then its done.Photoshop: Recoloring (Exercise 5) Part 1
For recoloring a b/w picture, i followed the guide given by mr martin in google classroom and this is the progress after finalizing all the color layers and adjustments.
